Mark was great! As a guide myself ,in Destin, he took great care of my wife and I with different skill levels made sure we both had a great time! Caught bunch of fish and had great conversation the entire trip! Coming back early fall for round 2!!!

I booked a trip with Mark Tripletail Charters hoping to catch a few tripletail. Apparently, Mark misunderstood and thought I said I wanted to catch ALL the tripletail. By the end of the day, we had landed 21 tripletail. Twenty-one! Now, I don’t want to embarrass my fishing buddy, OCB (Old Captain Bully), but facts are facts. I caught more fish than Bill, and I caught the biggest one of the trip. Bill may dispute these claims, but fortunately fish counts are more reliable than his memory. Mark put us on fish all day long, worked hard, knew exactly where to go, and somehow managed to tolerate our nonstop trash-talking. If you’re looking for a guide who knows Apalachicola and knows how to find tripletail, Mark is the guy. Great boat, great guide, great day, and a lifetime supply of bragging rights over Bill. We’ll definitely be back. Assuming Bill is willing to fish with me again after the beating he took.

I felt the need to follow up on Dave Friedman’s review. Yes we caught 21 triple tail with Capt. Mark Butler. And yes Mr. Friedman caught more fish and the biggest of the trip. I take my hat off to Dave Friedman. I did my best to give Mr. Friedman every opportunity to best me and he succeeded. Mr. Friedman or “difficult Dave” as some know him by had many solo opportunities to cast on fish while I drank beers. I believe I may have even taken a nap at one point. My fishing was continually hampered by Mr. Friedman’s inferior casting abilities. Continually casting over me almost purposefully sabotaging my attempts to catch fish. My falling short of him by 1 fish and 1 inch is a testament to Dave’s fishing prowess. Capt Mark you rock I’ll be back probably without Dave!

CPT Mark Butler is an awesome fishing charter captain. He leads you to where the fish are Everytime. If you really want to catch fish, he's the man!

Great day on the water with Mark. Had some shots at big tarpon early, but missed. Lots of sharks. Moved on to tripletail for the rest of the trip and hooked up on at least every other stop. All undersized fish but one keeper and saw a few that were bigger that we missed. The small ones were still fun on light spinning tackle and great to be able to see most of the fish approach the bait. Mark was knowledgeable and helpful as a guide and did his best to make sure we had shots and enjoyed ourselves.

Captain Mark Butler with Tripletail Charters gave us an amazing trip!!! He put us on the fish, kept everything fun and easy, and made the day unforgettable. Not only did we catch some great ones, but he also shared tips and local knowledge that made the trip even more enjoyable Highly recommend him!!!

Spent three wonderful days chasing tripletail with Capt Mark Butler. We are fly fisherman and Mark did a nice job putting us in position to catch fish. Great boat, beautiful area and an abundance of fish species in the bay. Can’t go wrong with Capt Mark, and he makes a damn fine lunch too. Do practice your casting in the wind as the bay seems to always have a breeze (which is nice when it’s 90* and 80% humidity! Highly recommend Triple Tail Charters - give them a try.

Could not ask for a more friendly and knowledgeable Charter Captain than Mark Butler. To say I had a great time is an understatement. Highly recommend Tripletail Charters. You will not be disappointed.

What a great day on the water with Capt.Mark! He put us on some tripletail. They sure are fun to reel in! We got a couple flounder on another trip. Capt.Mark is very knowledgeable about the area and he knows where the fish are. Thanks again Capt! Fish on!
