But it has been a while since I travelled back to the places of my childhood in and around the panhandle of Florida.  This week, I travel to Apalachichola, Florida, a charming fishing village that is “more like Cape Cod than deep south.” With Apalachicola’s protected waters and shallow bays, many different inshore species thrive and make for some excellent fishing.
